Journeys
Every day I continue to learn more and more about myself and where I want to go. I remember being younger and saying all I wanted was to live in a nice house in Danvers, loving that city and never once considering the thought of leaving the area. Now, I can't imagine why in the world I would stay. There's such a world out there waiting to be discovered and I can't even begin to comprehend why I ever wanted to stay in one place forever. I want to journey, explore, see, feel, believe. I want to live abroad, see the south, learn a new language, sleep in a tent. I truly believe that every child should have a hometown, as Saugus will always be fine. And my future children will be no different, but until that day, I will continue to explore, continue to grow and continue to learn. School ends in 16 days, and after that, the adventure continues. Never in a million years did I think I would start my journey of self-discovery at a place where no one is encouraged to grow up. But I guess that is what the college program is all about. I'm so ready to be back.

18 days until I am done with school and on way to Florida!
I've put in for seasonal hours, and will hopefully be given shifts while I'm down there, and if not, hopefully I can pick them up :). I dont need to worry about reaching 40 hours because of my status change, but still, I love work, and I miss it. Well, actually, I might rather not work than get Crystal Palace, but that's another story. Anyway, I'm in the final round of roadtrip planning and as of now we will be leaving June 3rd and returning July 31st, so a super long trip spanning 3 countries and about 30 of the United States. Only problem is, the honors office at my school is being a huge pain in the ass. See, because I was at Disney next fall I never took a class called "Senior Honors Seminar." The vast majority of senior seminar is working on writing the honors thesis, something which I am very close to finishing on my own. The rest of the class is about buisness ettiqute and marking yourself. Well, I have proof that I took a class at Disney all about that called "Marketing You." The honors director has generously offered to do it with me over the summer, but I won't be anywhere near campus and won't have stable internet access either. It's a simply 1 credit course, and I don't understand why it can't be waived. I've already taken 30 credits worth of honors courses, which is far beyond the 18 mandidated by the state. I finished my thesis THREE MONTHS before it was required of me, and i'm still going to have take the class? I would literally just be handing in a bunch of assignments I've already done between thesis and marketing you. Basically, I haven't done the one or two assignments on Ettiqute, but marketing you does a sector on presenting and interviewing, which seems close enough to me. So yeah, basically I just want to be at Disney and not at school :)
12 days until my boyfriend gets here who I haven't for 2 months!
18 days until summer break/depart for Disney/summer adventure begins!
123 days until DCP
273 days until Semester at Sea!

Reflection
I was just reading back on a lot of the entries i've written over the past 6 or 7 months. Truthfully, I cannot believe I am going back to Disney. I wake up every morning still thinking I'm only home for a few days and I will be back in good old Chatham 21303 soon. And though I may not exactly be back in 21303, I AM GOING TO BE BACK! The only thing that pops into my head is the lyrics "i'm going home, to the place where I belong." When I started my first program, I couldn't fathom the idea that so many people had of wanting a career at Disney, and now, I miss it more and more every day, and I totally understand why people don't ever want to leave.

I made it!
I made it! I passed the audition and I will be an enteratinment CP for the Fall program! I haven't picked an arrival date yet, but I'm SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sometimes wake up and I wonder if my life is real. I'm driving across 26 states this summer on a roadtrip, spening another semester living my dreams as a performer at Disney World, and sailing around the world.
I went to a graduate school fair today, and I'm very attracted to the idea of going to school in the U.K. Plus, their programs are only 1 year (though its a full year with no breaks) and THEY DON'T REQUIRE THE GRE, which I have NO desire to take a second time.
Can you even imagine? Two semesters at Disney World, a summer traveling the country, a semester traveling the world, and a year in London. This sounds like the best school plan EVER! I'm going to make an effort to update this blog more often, especially with all these new adventures coming up!
I can't wait to be back with my best friends again, especially that quaky Duck!
