About Me

My photo
Alisa Kashdan
I truly believe I am the luckiest girl in the world. At 23 years old, I've had more life-changing experiences than most do in an entire lifetime. From sailing around the world to dancing down Main Street USA, I have to wonder how this is all real.

The Adventure So Far

Disney College Program - Fall Advantage 2010, Entertainment
Road Trip from Boston to California and back - Summer 2011
Disney College Program - Fall 2011, Entertainment
Semester at Sea - Spring 2012

Diagnosed with Celiac Disease - July 2008
Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease - November 2008

What's Next?

For the first time in a while, I'm not really sure where my life is headed. I'll be heading to Florida after graduation to continue working for Disney, but in terms of major plans, all I know is that I want to make a difference. I'm not sure where, and I'm not sure how, but unknowing adventure is an idea I've definitely become more comfortable with over the years.

semester at sea classes!

so registration for next semester was on monday. per usual, i set my alarm and sat down to fight the masses and the internet to get the classes i wanted. the difference was that instead of logging on to navigator, i was logging on to myvoyage, instead of registering for classes on mwf or tr, i was registering for classes for a days and b days, and instead of registering for courses on salem state's campus, i was registering for classes on the mv explorer! it still hasnt hit me that these classes i just registered for are classes i'll be taking while sailing around the world. it's unreal. i know that one day i will just wake up and all of a sudden i am going to realize that in just 2 months i will be embarking on a trip around the world.

but, anyway, here's my schedule:
A days:
8 - 915 Sociology of Religion
920 - 1035 Global Studies

B days:
8 - 915 Sex and Gender in a Cross Cultural Perspective
135 - 250 World War II in Asia

so, i haven't had class every day since 2007. And having class every day at 8am certaintly isn't a bonus. But i'm taking amazing classes and i'm taking thme while traveling the world. somehow, i think sacraficing sleep will be a bit easier to deal with than normal :)
